Error LCMBLACKSTONE213012 when deploying Content to VMware Aria Operations content through VMware Aria Life Cycle

Issue/Introduction

• Sign into VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle Manager → Content Management →  Expand panel on left side → Contents → ADD CONTENT → Operations → Select Capture → Select Deploy → Click PROCEED → Enter in the appropriate details for Pipeline Name (Optional) and Select Capture Endpoint Fields → for Content Types & Content select Operations-SuperMetric  → Fill in the rest of the fields with the appropriate details .  This fails with the following error in the UI : 

  Error Code: LCMBLACKSTONE213012 LCMBLACKSTONE213012 Received exception while triggering pipeline action on blackstone." SHOW MORE: " com.vmware.vrealize.lcm.common.exception.LcmException: Request execution failed at blackstone, with error :

• /var/log/vrlcm/vmware_vrlcm.log reports errors similar to the below extracts :

Environment

VMware Aria Operations 8.18.x

VMware Aria Life Cycle Manager 8.18.x

Cause

VMware Aria Operations is unable to process the payload sent by VMware Aria Lifecycle as part of the API call to import supermetrics due to special character in the supermetric name

Resolution

Remove the special character from the supermetric name for example Kapazität should be changed to Kapazitat
