Issue/Introduction

We are restarting the VSE to enable config changes for logging and the VSE is started not coming up successfully.

 

Environment

All supported DevTest releases.

Cause

This issue was caused by an addition VSE thread hung.

You had brought down the VSE to make a change to the logging.properties file.  When you then started the VSE service you got an error.

Resolution

To resolve we went into Task Manager and deleted the extra thread.  Then able to start the VSE service with no issues. 

NOTE: Changes to the logging.properties file do not require the server components to be brought down, the changes get picked up by the components on the fly.
