Issue/Introduction

The "Test" fails when configuring the "Network Share Plugin" in Aria Operations.

Validate Connection
Test was not successful: network share plugin test failed.

Environment

Aria Operations 8.18.x

 

Cause

During "Validate Connection" a test file is sent after connecting to the SMB server.
Before sending the test file, we attempted to create it in Aria Operations' /tmp directory. However, the Owner/Group/Permission for /tmp had been changed from the default settings, causing the test file creation to fail.

 

 

Resolution

Please restore the Owner/Group/Permission of /tmp to their original default state.
