Issue/Introduction

We are seeing the following alarm on the VNM model What does this mean?

Thu 23 Oct, 2025 - 14:58:01 - Alarm number 160459 with probable cause id 0x10f2c generated for device sim0 of type VNM. The severity of this alarm is MINOR. (event [0x00010701])
Thu 23 Oct, 2025 - 14:58:01 - The fault Isolation events of type 0x10d09 is customised.

Cause

One of the below event codes was customized. In the event example above, it was the 0x10d09 event. 

To prevent adverse affect's to Spectrum's fault isolation algorithms and undesirable results, and to prevent a direct impact on Fault Isolation (FI)/ Internal Port Link Status (IPLS), do not customize the following list of event codes:

Resolution

Review the $SPECROOT/custom/Events directory for one of the above events and remove the customization. After removing the customization, navigate to the SpectroSERVER control sub-view and update the event configuration files. This will clear the alarm.

Do not customize any of the above events as this may cause undesirable results.
