Issue/Introduction

Jira Sprint field sync by value to Rally does not work if completed sprints are missing in Rally

 

Steps to Reproduce: 

1. Create an Automation syncing Jira Story <> Rally Story with Sprint <> Iteration field mapping with Sync by value on both sides - set Field Config value for "if field value is not found" to "Skip"
2. Create 2 Sprints in Jira, Sprint A, Sprint B
3. Create only Sprint B in Rally
4. In Jira, create a Story assigned to Sprint A
5. Start and Complete Sprint A, assign Story over to Sprint B
6. Now the Jira Story should have two values in the Sprint field (current: B, completed: A)
7. Sync the automation

 

Expected Results: 

Sprint B should be synced to Rally Iteration field

 

Actual Results:

Depending on the lookup setting, either failure or the field is skipped.

Jira Connector puts all Sprint values (including completed Sprints) in the Entity field, Rally will try to lookup both, and fail since Sprint A does not exist.
