Issue/Introduction

ESXi service accounts appear disconnected in SDDC manager:

When attempting to update them you see an error similar to the following:

unable to find valid certification path to requested target

Environment

SDDC Manager 4.x
SDDC Manager 5.x

Cause

If the certificates on the ESXi hosts do not reflect those that are currently in use by the VMCA, the service accounts will fail to connect to SDDC manager

Resolution

Renew or refresh ESXi certificates.

If this does not work, regenerate certificates on the VMCA, then attempt to renew host certificates.
