NAS replication queues sometimes seem to disappear and stop working

Issue/Introduction

When replication is used between NAS probes, sometimes the replication appears to stop happening and the alarms are no longer synchronized.

Using the probe utility and running the callback "repl_queue_info" the replication queue in question is not listed.  Other replication queues which are configured are listed in the output and working fine but one or more queues is missing.

 

Environment

DX UIM - 23.4.x

NAS probe - 23.4.5.x or earlier

Cause

race condition/defect

Resolution

This issue will be resolved in DX UIM 23.4.6 (CU6).

As a workaround, restarting the NAS probe should cause the replication queue to start working again.
