Within the CA Service Desk Manager UI, is there any mechanism to stop users from downloading certain file type attachments (i.e. JPG files) from tickets?

Within CA Service Desk Manager, we currently have the ability to restrict certain file types from being UPLOADED to SDM tickets via the 'Prohibited File Type' option.
Unfortunately there is no mechanism to prevent users from downloading certain attachment file types from the SDM interface.
If this feature is important, I would encourage you to submit an idea/enhancement request via the CA Service Management Community site.
You might be able to accomplish this via the web browser directly, but this would be out of scope of Broadcom Support.

The "save_as_dialog_ext" option within the NX_ROOT\bopcfg\www\CATALINA_BASE\webapps\CAisd\WEB-INF directory controls the SAVE AS dialog box from appearing or not. It will NOT stop users from downloading certain file types in other ways.
