The HOLDDATA for LU18168 contains the following text.
To ensure system stability and integrity, the IDMS software library used by a Central Version (provided as CAGJLOAD at installation) must be authorized, if not already authorized by use in STEPLIB. Libraries containing customized IDMS load modules, DMCL, and database name table modules must also be authorized.
How does this impact the STEPLIB and CDMSLIB ddnames?
Release: All supported releases.
This requirement does not change STEPLIB or CDMSLIB in any way.
It does NOT alter the APF-authorization requirements of the STEPLIB or CDMSLIB ddnames in the IDMS CV startup JCL, nor does it alter which load modules are required to be in those ddnames.
All that is changing is whether or not the individual loadlibs (CAGJLOAD, CUSTOM.LOADLIB, DBA.LOADLIB or any other loadlibs that contain load modules as mentioned in the HOLDDATA text) need to be APF-authorized.
This is a similar concept to the fact that for the support of zIIP in IDMS, some load modules need to be loaded from an APF-authorized loadlib but is not dependent on whether or not the ddname is APF-authorized. See IDMS modules loaded from an authorized library to be eligible to run on zIIP.
