Clarity: Turn off the import from CSV (Beta) action from project grid

Issue/Introduction

After upgrading to Clarity v16.3.3, a new 'Import from CSV (Beta)' action is visible on the Project Grid. Many organizations prefer to disable this feature completely for all users, either because the beta functionality does not yet meet their operational requirements, or to restrict access to non-GA features within their environment. This article outlines the steps to permanently disable this import option from the Project Listing page.

Cause

This action is not controlled by specific global rights or a feature toggle option; instead, it is managed directly via MUX Administration settings.

Resolution

To disable the 'Import from CSV (Beta)' action from the Project Grid globally for all Clarity users:

1. Log in to Clarity as an administrator.
2. Navigate to MUX > Administration > Actions.
3. In the list of available actions, locate the entry with the following details:
   • Name: Import from CSV
   • Type: Project
4. Uncheck the 'Enabled' checkbox for this specific action.
5. Click Save.
6. Users will need to log out and then log back into Clarity for the change to take effect. The 'Import from CSV' option will no longer appear on the Project Grid.
