Environment

Cause

vSAN File Services requires the NSX segment to have a MAC Learning profile applied.

Resolution

  1. With admin privileges, log in to an NSX Manager.
  2. Select Networking->Segments->Segment Profiles.
  3. Click Add Segment Profile and select MAC Discovery.
  4. Name the new MAC discovery profile.
  5. Enable MAC Learning.
  6. Save the new profile.

  8. Edit the profile and expand Segment Profiles.
