importing updated registration file in VCF Business Console returns error "FINGERPRINT_UPDATE_ERROR There are no changes to the imported file"

Issue/Introduction

• Registered VCF Operations with the VCF Business Services console using the disconnected method as per documentation Register VCF Operations in Disconnected Mode 
• Regenerated a new license file as previously generated a license file contained invalid keys and added the new license file under in the Business console under License Management → Licenses .    
• Importing Updated Registration file fails with error "FINGERPRINT_UPDATE_ERROR There are no changes to the imported file" as per doc Update a VCF Operations Registration
• Downloading the License File under VCF Operations Registrations fails with the error "Error Private Key not found"

Environment

VMware Cloud Foundation 9.0 

Resolution

1. Remove license from VCF Operations as per doc Remove a License from VCF Operations 
2. Deactivate the VCF Operations registration in VCF Business Console as per KB How to deactivate a license currently assigned to a VCF Operations 9.0 instance 
3. Re-register the VCF Operations in the VCF Business Console as per doc Registering VCF Operations with the VCF Business Services console 
4. Download fresh license file and add it to VCF Operations as per doc Add a License to VCF Operations
