Stemcells remain on old datastores after Operations Manager migration to new datastores

Issue/Introduction

After following instructions migrating Tanzu Operations Manager (with TPCF or other service tiles) to new datastores, VM disks are migrated but stemcell disks(sc-####.vmdk) remain on previous datastores. 

Environment

• vSphere
• Tanzu Operations Manager

Cause

This is expected behavior. During datastore migration, BOSH director and BOSH-deployed VMs will be recreated with disks on target datastores, stemcells will be uploaded to new datastores as well, but existing stemcell disks on old datastores will remain unchanged.

Resolution

After datastore migration - BOSH director and BOSH-deployed VMs have been recreated with disks on target datastores, the previous datastores can be disconnected and the stemcell disks can be safely deleted.
