datastore usage alarm reset to green failed

Issue/Introduction

• The alarm does not go automatically when the datastore usage is no more facing high usage.
• The reset to green option greys out once clicked but alarm still shows up. 
• The alarm that is triggered is actually disabled in the Environment.

Environment

VMware vCenter Server 8.0x

Resolution

To work around this issue, enable and then disable the datastore usage on disk alarm:

Steps:

• Click Host and Clusters in the Home page.
• Select the vCenter Server that is having the issue and click the Alarms tab.
• Click the Definitions tab.
• Right-click Datastore usage on disk alarm and click Edit.
• Select the Enable this alarm option.
• Click OK.
• Right-click Datastore usage on disk alarm and click Edit.
• Select the Disable this alarm option.
