After adding space to all nodes in Aria Operations, utilization of those nodes did not drop.

Issue/Introduction

After adding space to nodes in Aria Operations the nodes are not showing a drop in Utilization 

Environment

Aria Operations 8.12 and above 

Cause

This can happen if you extend an existing disk instead of adding a disk. The extended disk will not be partitioned correctly. 

Resolution

To add additional space do not extend a disk, instead follow the process in our article:  How to add disks to a node in Aria Operations cluster

Note: All analytic nodes must have the same amount of space in the /storage/db logical volume.
