Can you install updated vertica/DR in the same directory due to sudo privileges?

Can the application be installed in the older directory that we have configured sudo for?

Cause

sudo command is tied to a specific directory

Resolution

Yes, this can be done.

Rename the old directory and when extracting using the updated installDR.bin - choose the old directory name.

Broadcom advises getting this changed to just "vertica" to make it simple going forward.
