Unable to login to ssh of the Live Site recovery

Issue/Introduction

Connecting to Live Site Recovery ssh session with root username throws below error:

login as: root
Pre-authentication banner message from server:
VMware Site Recovery Manager Appliance 9.0.2.8714 build 24639343

Access denied

Environment

VMware Live Site Recovery

Cause

Since the introduction of the 'admin' user in 8.4, the 'root' user is no longer permitted to login to the SRM appliance using ssh.

Resolution

Use the 'admin' user created for the VMware Live Recovery.

Enter the password and then run sudo su and enter the same admin password again.
