This article provides guidance on how to verify the current ESXi image profile running on a host.

Environment

VMware vSphere ESXi 8.x
VMware vSphere ESX 9.x

Resolution

Check the current ESXi image profile name

  • Run the following command on ESXi Shell (SSH):

    esxcli software profile get

  • Using vSphere Client or vSphere Web Client
    • Connect to your vCenter Server using the vSphere Client.
    • Navigate to Hosts and Clusters.
    • Select the desired ESXi host.
    • Go to the Summary tab.
    • Look for the Image Profile section, which will display the name of the image profile used for the installation or the latest update.
