This issue occurs when special symbols or characters are used in the SFTP server user password or passphrase. The validation process fails to handle special characters correctly, resulting in the connection failure during the SFTP configuration.
Broadcom is aware of this issue, and a fix is planned for a future release of VCF Operations.
Workaround :
Reset the SFTP user password — ensure that the new password does not contain any special symbols or characters.
Navigate to VCF Operations → Fleet Management → Lifecycle → Settings → Backup & Restore → SFTP Settings.
Reconfigure the SFTP server and passphrase (if using a passphrase with special characters) with the updated password.
Verify that the configuration task completes successfully without errors.
