  Reverse lookup of IP Address [192.0.2.2] returned FQDN [ESX01.example.com] which does not match the FQDN
  [esx01.example.com] supplied in the deployment specification
  Remediation: Ensure a proper DNS configuration for ESX01.example.com.
  
  Reverse lookup of IP Address [192.0.2.3] returned FQDN [ESX02.example.com] which does not match the FQDN
  [esx02.example.com] supplied in the deployment specification
  Remediation: Ensure a proper DNS configuration for ESX02.example.com.

   

• DNS resolution for the ESX hosts shows Uppercase for reverse lookup

Environment

VCF 9.x

Cause

DNS record for ESX hosts have uppercase hostname and is mismatched with actual ESX hostname in lowercase

Resolution

Update DNS records for ESX host with lowercase hostname

Re-run the validation in VCF installer
