Issue/Introduction

What is the typical duration of the RiskFabric Intraday Processing job? The knowledgebase article Risk Fabric processing job schedules states this job is scheduled to run every two hours by default.

Environment

Release : 6.x

Component : RiskFabric Intraday Processing

Resolution

The duration of the intraday job is a function of the quantity of data to be processed and the computing resources dedicated to your Information Centric Analytics (ICA) deployment. For more information on this topic, refer to the knowledgebase (KB) article Risk Fabric processing performance factors.

Broadcom recommends scheduling the intraday job to run no more frequently than every two hours outside the nightly processing job window. Running the job more frequently runs the risk of keeping the SQL Server and Analysis Services servers in a perpetually processing state, which can have a negative impact on the user experience in the console.

If users encounter performance issues in the console after increasing the frequency of the intraday job, you should revert the job to its default schedule or allocate additional computing resources.
