Issue/Introduction

SDDC remote syslog, log forwarding concept.

Resolution

The forwarding of syslog data directly from the SDDC Manager appliance to an external/remote syslog server is not a supported configuration.

There is currently no built-in or officially documented mechanism within SDDC Manager to configure syslog forwarding.

SDDC Manager integrates with VMware Aria solutions for centralized logging and can be monitored via vRealize Log Insight / Aria Operations for Logs.
