The number of vCLS decreased from three to two after upgrading ESXi to 8.0U3.

Issue/Introduction

After upgrading ESXi to 8.0U3 or later, only two vCLS VMs are deployed.

Cause

Starting with ESXi 8.0U3, embedded vCLS was introduced and the desired redundancy count for embedded vCLS is two.

Resolution

This is expected behavior.
