Deactivate Alert Definition — "Virtual Machine is violating VMware vSphere Security Configuration Guide for vSphere version 8 and above" in Policy

Issue/Introduction

By default, the alert definition "Virtual Machine is violating VMware vSphere Security Configuration Guide for vSphere version 8 and above" is already in a deactivated state within the policy.

Environment

Aria Operations 8.18.x

Resolution

To deactivate the alert definition in a policy, follow these steps:

• Navigate to Configurations → Policy Definition.
• Select the active policy and click Edit.
• Go to the Alerts and Symptoms section.
• Locate the alert definition:
  "Virtual Machine is violating VMware vSphere Security Configuration Guide for vSphere version 8 and above".
• Change its state to Deactivated.
• Save the policy.
