Issue/Introduction
vSphere RSPAN source is configured with "Normal I/O on destinations ports" to Disallowed.
If the destination uplink is used by NSX teaming policy or as a unique pNIC in non-LSP default teaming policy, it will report ERROR event in VC UI, hosts > Monitor > Events. The event will be one of the following, or both: "Failed to set RSPAN src session Session 0 on portset DvsPortset-0 due to it disallows uplink I/O which conflicts with NSX switch teaming policy DvsPortset-0-TeamLSP". "Failed to set RSPAN src session Session 0 on portset DvsPortset-1 due to it disallows uplink I/O which conflicts with DVPortgroup teaming policy".
Environment
VMware vSphere 7.0.1 and later
VMware ESXi
VMware vCenter Server
Resolution
In vCenter Server, edit the port mirror configuration profile and set the "Normal I/O on Destination Ports" to Allowed.
