Failed upgrade from vCenter 7.0 Update 3w

Issue/Introduction

In-place upgrade of vCenter 7.0 Update 3w fails with "Pre-upgrade check failed due the following problem: Error in method invocation [digital envelope routines] unsupported"

Environment

vCenter 7.0 Update 3w

Resolution

Upgrade from vCenter 7.0 Update 3w to vCenter 8.x is currently not supported but an upgrade path will be available with a future vCenter 8.x release
