Issue/Introduction

• During a Federation Global Manager (GM) failover from Active GM to Standby GM, the following message is displayed:

"<GM-Site-B> is currently being synced with the <GM Site-A>. Global Manager objects will be temporarily unavailable until the switchover is complete"

• The same windows shows progress at:

Step 4 of 6 Checking Standby Status... ##% Complete

Checking the status of the change from active to standby

Environment

Cause

This is expected behavior.

Resolution

The message is indicating that during the sync phase from Active GM to Standby GM, Global objects, objects created in the GM and spanning sites, will not be editable until the failover is complete.
