Cannot delete custom tag from Aria Operations

Issue/Introduction

• Custom attributes created on vCenter objects are detected as custom tags in Aria Operations
  
  
  
  
• Once the custom attribute is deleted from vCenter, tag continues to be detected under the Object (For ex: VM, Cluster, etc.) Metrics > Properties > Summary > Custom Tag'  in Aria Operations

Aria Operations 8.18.x

Cause

Custom attributes cannot be deleted from Aria Operations and remains throughout the lifecycle of the object (i.e. VM, cluster, datastore or any other object.).

Resolution

Once metric keys are created for custom tags in Aria Operations, they are tied to lifecycle of the resource(i.e. VM, cluster, datastore or any other object.) and cannot be deleted from Aria Operations.
