Multiple errors reported for the same ESXi Transport node during NSX Upgrade pre-check

Issue/Introduction

• Connection between host XXX,UUID and NSX Controller is UNKNOWN
• Connection between host XXX,UUID and NSX Manager is DOWN. Please restore connection before continuing. Response:Clinet has not responded to {2} consecutive heartbeats. Port {1234} between Host to NSX Manager must be open
• Error while checking if host report is pending from a previous action. Please check the configuration state of host (XXX,UUID) and ensure that services are operating normally

Cause

The ESXi physical server has been replaced before and the UUID mentioned in NSX Upgrade Pre-check is NOT matched with the current ESXi TN UUID

Resolution

Delete the stale UUID and run NSX Pre-Check again:

GET https://<NSX Mgr IP>/api/v1/transport-nodes/<UUID>/state

DELETE https://<NSX Mgr IP>/api/v1/transport-nodes/<UUID>?force=true&unprepare_host=false
