Issue/Introduction
- ESXi 7.0 から ESXi 8.0 にアップグレード後に vCenter Server から ESXi が切断状態となる
- vSphere Client から ESXi を再接続しようとすると、hostd のクラッシュが発生して再接続できない。
Environment
VMware ESXi 8.0
Cause
hostd が存在しない分散スイッチの情報にアクセスしようとして、クラッシュが発生します。
アップグレードに伴って configstore の内容と分散スイッチの間で一貫性が失われるのが原因です。
Resolution
KB 411493 の Resolution の手順を実施します。net-dvs コマンドと configstore 間の不一致エントリを特定し、 configstorecli コマンドで古いエントリを削除、ESXi を再起動します。
それでも解決しない場合は以下の手順を実行します。
注:この手順を実施すると、分散スイッチ設定、 vmkernel アダプタ等の設定が消えます。ESXi 追加後ネットワーク設定を再度設定する必要があります。
- 当該 ESXi を vCenter Server のインベントリから削除します。
- DCUI よりネットワーク設定をリセットします。
- DCUI より管理ネットワーク設定を行います。
- vCenter Server にて ESXi を追加します。
