Error: "LCMVROPSYSTEM25000" during VCF Operations inventory sync via VCF Fleet Management

Issue/Introduction

• LCMVROPSYSTEM25000 error was reported when synchronizing inventory from VCF Operations to VCF Fleet Management
• On VCF Operations fleet management Appliance, in /var/log/vrlcm/vmware_vrlcm.log, there is "Not able to connect to Operations node" error as below:

• Attempts to verify connectivity from the VCF Fleet Management Appliance to the VCF Operations Master Node via the following commands were unsuccessful:
  
  
  • nslookup <VCF Operations master node in the log>
  • ping <VCF Operations master node in the log>

Environment

VCF Operations 9.x
VCF Fleet Management 9.x

Cause

The VCF Operations inventory synchronization fails because VCF Operations Fleet management Appliance cannot reach VCF Operations master node.

Resolution

Follow the below steps to resolve the Inventory sync issue with VCF Operations component:

• Update the VCF Operations master node hostname following the procedures in Broadcom KB337564.
  
  
• Ensure that VCF Fleet Management appliance is able to resolve the VCF Operations master node FQDN.
  
  nslookup <VCF Operations FQDN>
ping <VCF Operations FQDN>
  
  
• Re-run the inventory synchronization for the "operations" component within the Fleet Management interface to update references.
