vCenter shows error in edit settings GUI of a VM within ELM: can't access property childNodes yr is undefined

Issue/Introduction

Attempting to modify VM settings or view certain ELM setting pages of a ELM partner results in GUI errors. 

Cause

vCenter 8.0U3 introduced internal HTTP compression to reduce the HTTP traffic in a vCenter Server system, shrinks page load time and speeds up API operations. This can be turned off per individual vCenter. If you mix compression on and off between vCenters in ELM prior to 8.0U3G they encounter a Tomcat compression issue. 

Resolution

Issue has been resolved in vCenter 8.0U3G. If patching is not possible ensure all vCenters have compression set to on or off.
