Issue/Introduction

You are attempting to 'bosh ssh' onto a TAS deployed application and see the error below:

bosh ssh <APP-NAME>
dial tcp 10.5x.1xx.4:2222: connectex: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond.

Cause

Incorrect/missing "ssh endpoint" is defined in bosh dns.

Resolution

Add the correct/desired 'ssh endpoint' url to bosh dns /etc/hosts file configuration, located on the bosh director VM.
