Unable to Access vCenter via HTTPS After Updating the Machine SSL Certificate

Issue/Introduction

After updating the vCenter Server Machine SSL certificate from a self-signed certificate to one issued by a trusted Certificate Authority, users still unable to connect to vCenter via HTTPS with the new certificate.

Environment

VMware vCenter Server

Cause

Even though the correct SSL certificate is now active on the server, the user's browser is still trying to use the old, cached version.

Resolution

Restart the client machine or clear the browser cache and SSL state.
