"Update Now " button is greyed out in SDDC manager UI

Issue/Introduction

• Navigate to Inventory > Workload Domains > Mgmt-Domain > Updates Tab,In the Available Updates section,  "UPDATE NOW" button may appear grayed out.

• Also see a warning message Under Available Configuration Updates section - "Apply configuration is disabled due to resource is locked. Check back in few minutes"

VCF 4.x

VCF 5.x

Cause

SDDC Manager fails to release a deployment lock that was previously acquired by a operation. As a result, any new deployment-related operations are blocked due to the lingering lock entry.

Resolution

Open a case with Broadcom Support to review the issue. As this will require modification to SDDC Manager Database.
