Issue/Introduction
The ESXi host boots into PSOD. Error message:
- The system has found a problem.
- Unable to restore the system configuration.
Environment
VMware vSphere ESXi 8.0.x
Cause
The firmware security settings are lost after the motherboard of the ESXi host is replaced.
Resolution
Reinstall the ESXI host using the customized ISO from the hardware vendor
