Issue/Introduction

Multiple clarity job failed with error "Job was processing when scheduler restarted"

Environment

Clarity 16.3.3 

Resolution

The log message 'Job was processing when scheduler restarted' indicates that a cancellable job was in the Processing state at the time the background service or scheduler was restarted. As a result, the job fails upon restart and logs this message to denote the interruption.

In such situation the job will either needs to be scheduled again or the wait for the next schedule of the job 

Additional Information

Note:

  • In the case of non-cancellable jobs, during background service restart causes the active job instance to fail. Upon restart, the system automatically initiates a new instance of the job.
  • To identify the job is non cancellable, check the Job properties from Administration --> Reports and Jobs
