Metrics not displayed on Dell switch added as a data source on VCF Operations for Networks GUI

Issue/Introduction

• From within VCF Operations for Networks the metrics for the physical switch show "No data to show"

 

• Collector logs show the following error:
  
  /var/log/arkin/collector/latest.log
####-##-##:##:##01Z WARN common.utils.CommonUtils PHYSICAL-shared-scheduled-Metric-exec-71 logException:2578 com.vnera.dataproviders.dsconnectionmanagement.exceptions.SNMPConnectionException: Request timed out

 

Environment

VCF Operations for Networks

Cause

SNMP is disabled on the physical switch.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, enable SNMP on the switch. For any issues enabling SNMP please engage hardware vendor.
