Issue/Introduction

Upgrading vCenter Server from 7.x to 8.x fails pre-upgrade check. 

Log file /var/log/vmware/upgrade/CollectRequirements_com.vmware.vcdb_yyyy_mm_dd_hh_mm.log shows:

ERROR: ERROR ! Missing sequences: CL_SQ_DIRTY_MARKER_ID;;

Environment

vCenter 7.x

Cause

This issue occurs due to missing sequences in the vCenter Server database.
