Issue/Introduction

Is it possible to maintain a VM MoRef ID when migrating a VM using HCX to another SDDC/vCenter/Destination

Is it possible to change a MoRef ID of a VM after it is Migrated to another SDDC/vCenter/Destination

Resolution

The MoRef ID of a VM cannot be preserved during an HCX Migration. 

The MoRef ID is not capable of being modified following a Migration of the VM to another SDDC or vCenter. 

The vCenter creates and manages this MoRef ID object and is a vSphere managed object unique to the vCenter where the VM is running
