Ifalias not updated in OC

Issue/Introduction

When a device is first discovered, ifalias is set to a value according to the interface name configured on the router.

Later, when the interface name is changed on the router, and then the router is rediscovered by UIM, you can see that the ifalias is updated on the snmpcollector GUI, but not on the Operator Console.

Environment

DX UIM 20.4.x / 23.4.x 

snmpcollector 4.14.

discovery_server 20.70

Cause

We diagnosed a code issue in the discovery_server probe. 

Resolution

For DX UIM 20.4.11:

1. Download a fixed discivery_server version from this article (this is based on 20.4 CU11)

2. Deploy it to the UIM system

3. Force rediscovery of the devices 

For DX UIM 23.4.x

The fix will be included in the discovery_server coming with the 23.4 CU6 update.
