Question:
We are in the process of doing a cleanup and have thousands of old DSF records that need to be deleted. out of CA Bundl. Is there a batch process to delete them?
Answer:
Unfortunately CA Bundl does not provide a utility for deleting DSF records.
Alternatively (although we typically do not recommend that clients do this), you can MANUALLY EDIT the DPMFDSF file using a VSAM file editing product such as File Master or File Aid. Considering this, one theory might be to take a "copy" of the DSF file offline, edit the copied file and remove the unwanted DSF records, then do a delete/define/repro of the edited file back over to the target Bundl system.
