VM Templates not syncing in Subscribed Library

Issue/Introduction

• The VM Templates (VMTX) does not sync from the Publisher to the Subscriber
• vCenter servers not in Enhanced Linked Mode (ELM)

Environment

vCenter Server 8.0.x

Cause

VM Template (VMTX) synchronization requires trust between the Publisher and Subscriber vCenter Servers

Resolution

To sync VM Templates to Subscribed Libraries, all vCenter Server(s) must participate in Enhanced Linked Mode (ELM).

Existing vCenter Servers can be linked by following the steps from the below link:

Repointing vCenter Server to another SSO Domain

Once the vCenter servers are in linked mode, follow the below steps to sync the VM Templates (VMTX).

1. Click on Menu > Content Libraries.
2. Select the Publisher Library.
3. Click on Actions > New Subscription.
4. Select one of the two below options:
   
5. Proceed with the workflow to select the folder, compute resource and network to complete the Subscription setup process.
6. When completed, the VM Templates will sync with the Subscribed Library.
