Introduction:
If you use your approver groups to send E-Mail, you may want to code an approver value that is not a valid userid. This is so when the package is cast an email can be sent based on the value in the approver.
Question:
Can I code an approver that is not valid userid in the approver group? For example ABC?DEF
Environment:
z/OS, Endevor with EXIT 7 enabled for sending E-Mails when a package is cast.
Answer:
Yes you can. It is only limited to 8 characters.
What you can use this for is you can have the value CUST. Within the EXIT7 logic you can set the value CUST to any other value. So in the example you can send the email when the value is CUST to [email protected].
