ESXi Host upgrade fails with MISSING_DEPENDENCY_VIBS ERROR for EMC_bootbank_RP-Splitter

Issue/Introduction

ESXi upgrade from version 7.X to 8.X via DCUI fails with below given error:

<MISSING_DEPENDENCY_VIBS ERROR:
Found=['EMC_bootbank_RP-Splitter_RPESX-##.##.###']
Expected=[] These vibs on the host are missing dependency if continue to upgrade. Remove these vibs before upgrade or use Image Builder to resolve this missing dependency issue.>

Environment

VMware vSphere 7.X

Cause

This issue occurs due to the absence of RecoverPoint vib in the target image with which we are attempting to upgrade the Host.

Resolution

Consult the OEM vendor Dell and uninstall the Recoverpoint vib's. Post the same, ESXi can be upgraded to version 8.X and RecoverPoint vib re-installed.
