Issue/Introduction

Whenever jobs are submitted to promote objects from one environment to the other, the job sends *BREAK messages to user's display with various details. This is causing lot of interruption to development work flow.

Is there a way to disable these messages?

Environment

CA 2E 8.7.x with PTC Implementer 12.x

Resolution

While it may be annoying to get so many messages, if there was an error during promotion, it greatly assists during troubleshooting.

For each user, run the command WRKUSRPRF and change Delivery to *Notify

Additional Information

PTC Support discourages turning off these messages because it will be impossible to troubleshoot any promotion issues/failures.

If any issues arise during promotion, PTC Support will request that the logging be turned back on.
