Issue/Introduction

  • After doing some change in the global.properties manually the fields vcloud.cell.ip.primary and vcloud.ssl.key.password keep getting empty in the global.properties file.
  • In /opt/vmware/vcloud-director/logs/Cell-runtime.log in the VMware Cloud Director (VCD) appliance you can see entries like:

Cause

This error is caused due to a change in the order of the fields in the global.properties file done when it was being manually updated.
