Unable to Restore deleted Objective From the Recycle Bin in Rally

Issue/Introduction

A Objective was deleted in error, and we need to restore it. However, I get a permission error when I try. I am a subscription administrator. Is it possible to restore an Objective.

Cause

Deleted Objectives can be restored as long as they haven't been permanently deleted from the recycle bin. In order to do so you need to have a special permission for Objectives. The permission is initially set to no. 

Resolution

In order to be able to restore the Objective you need to have the OKR Admin role enabled. A Subscription Admin can do this by following the steps below. 

  1. Select Setup from the Rally menu bar in the upper-right corner of the display.
  2. Select the Users tab.
  3. Select the desired User Name that you want to enable as an OKR Admin.
  4. Select the Permissions tab for the user.
  5. Select "Yes" for OKR Admin.
  6. Save.
