Issue/Introduction

Cannot delete VCFA-based "Externally Manager" namespaces from DSM 9.0.1

Environment

VMware Data Services Manager 9.x

Cause

Broadcom is aware of this situation, and a permanent fix is still in consideration.

Resolution

Delete Namespaces from VCFA. This should automatically remove them from VCFA and Supervisor, but they still remain present in DSM. To remove from DSM, ssh to the DSM appliance as root and run the following command on the problematic namespaces:

kg -n <namespace> label dataservicepolicybinding binding dsm.vmware.com/consumption-cluster-uid= --overwrite

Then run the namespace delete command:

kg delete ns <namespace>
