Issue/Introduction

  • The NSX Manager log indicated that the IP Blocks for pods were deleted, but the corresponding IP pools and logical switches for pods still exist. The following log entries can be found on the NSX Manager appliance at /var/log/syslog:
2025-08-14T11:30:16.204Z INFO providerTaskExecutor-1-3 IpBlockServiceImpl 77678 POOL-MGMT [nsx@6876 comp="nsx-manager" level="INFO" subcomp="manager"] Deleted IP block IpBlock[1.#.#.0/19] with id IpBlock/<UUID>

  • The new workload creation will fail because the NCP cannot allocate new IP Subnets from the target IP Block

Environment

VMware NSX-T Data Center
VMware NSX
NSX-T Plugin (NCP)

Resolution

Workaround:

Recreate the cluster with new IP block
